A Prefab Sprout treat with Martin McAloon

One of the most underrated bands of the 80’s and 90’s only looking back with the benefits of hindsight do we now see what a great songwriter Paddy McAloon was. Despite the lack of chart single success every album was a big seller and when you are nominated for a Mercury Music award alongside George Michael and Elton John, you know you must be doing something right. In this three-part series we talk to Martin McAloon, Paddy’s brother, and the bassist with Prefab Sprout about their entire back catalogue and how he ended up duetting with Stevie Wonder playing Alfie.
